Holiday home in Manzanares el Real

At the foot of La Pedriza, in Manzanares el Real, we fully renovated this detached house as a holiday home beside the lake. We kept the original volume and essence of the building and brought it into a more contemporary, bright and summery language.
Life happens outdoors: the pool open to the mountain views, the covered porch as an outdoor living room and a sequence of terraces that extend the house towards the landscape. Inside, a light, fresh palette, colour applied with joy and relaxed furniture shape a retreat made for switching off.
The project was the subject of a feature in Interiores magazine —«Summer by the lake»— which toured the house as an example of a mountain renovation with a holiday spirit.
